FIFA official dies after Abuja stadium crisis – Nexus News

FIFA/ CAF Doping Control Officer in charge of the decisive Qatar 2022 Play Off between Nigeria and Ghana, Joseph Kabungo, at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Yesterday, is reportedly dead.

Although there is no official statement yet, the Zambian who happens to be his country’s national team doctor when the Chipolopolo won the African Cup of Nations in 2020, allegedly suffered heart attack subsequent to the attack at the Stadium after the ill-fated 1-1 draw between the Super Eagles and Black Stars at the match venue.

Kaboungo has been on the CAF medical team since 2013.
