‘I jus dey laff wallahi tallahi’:Gov El Rufa’i Taunts Peter Obi’s Supporters On Twitters

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state on Monday reacted to supporters of the Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi planning a ‘two million man’ march in Kaduna.

The supporters of the former governor of Anambra State took to Twitter a trending a march to solicit votes for the LP candidate in the 2023 presidential election.

However, El-Rufai mused on how the supporters would amass the two million people to march for Peter Obi in Kaduna State.

“In Kaduna? Not Kaduna Twitter?” El-Rufai tweeted in reaction to a Peter Obi supporter.

“I hope you get Two Hundred persons on the streets, including those ‘imports’ that can’t open their shops on Mondays, and came on the overnight bus last night. I just dey laff, wallahi tallahi!”, El Rufai ridiculed.

Similarly, several comments under the tweet alleged that the Labour Party candidate does not have popularity in the northern state to draw in such support while others argue that Obi was becoming prominent in the region.

Despite different groups already rallying for support for contesting candidates, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to officially declare the beginning of campaigns ahead of the 2023 elections.
