We Will Not Chastise Our Opponents In The Name Of Campaign – Keyamo Reacts To Melaye
Festus Keyamo, Presidential Campaign Spokesman of the All Progressive Congress APC said APC will not use offensive words against its oppositions.
Keyamo said this in a statement on Saturday, in reaction to an interview granted by the spokesperson of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation, Dino Melaye.
Nexus news recalls that Melaye, a former lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District had chastised Keyamo for talking out of relevance while campaigning for Tinubu during a recent interview.
However, Keyamo said his party will stick to discussing pertinent issues as it affects Nigerians rather than use harsh words on oppositions.
According to Keyamo, the APC Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima will run a clean campaign ahead and will not indulge in attacking personalities.
“We’ll run a clean campaign. We’ll not use abusive words on our opponents & their spokespersons.
“We’ll refrain from calling those who Nigerians think & say they look stupid with their gaffs as such.
“Abuses on a campaign trail are a sign of frustration. We will stick to the issues.” he said.
