2023: PDP, Atiku Ready To Declare Campaign Council

There are clues that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar is set declare the campaign council that will prosecute the 2023 general elections.
Arrangements regarding the campaign council have been concluded, Daily Trust reports.
However, this comes amidst the lingering dispute between Atiku and Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, even as interventions by various organs and leaders of the main opposition party have transpired.
According to a source who spoke to Daily Trust said some leaders of the party have reflected their disappointment over the lagging crisis and have urged Atiku to carry on with members of the party who were prepared to execute the 2023 elections.
The source added that Atiku has been advised to continue with the constitution of the campaign council ahead of 2023.
“We appreciate the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike as a strong pillar of this party, he is very important to us. But other members are also important. We have to move on,” he said.
