The chairman, Council of All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders in Nasarawa State, Dr Kassim Muhammed Kassim, has announced that the sum of N10 million has been raised by from stakeholders in the North-Central to purchase nomination and manifestation of interest form for Senator Abdullahi Adamu.
Recall that the former Nasarawa State governor is contestng for the post of the national chairman at the APC national convention.
Nexus News learnt that President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly supported him as a candidate.
Speaking to journalists in Lafia, Kassim said that the rationale behind the contribution was to demonstrate solidarity to Adamu and a way of thanking him for founding high institutions in the state during his term as governor, which encouraged them to obtain higher education.
Also, he encouraged those who professed to be supporters of the president and opposed his preference to reconsider.
