Bad Infrastructures Causing Low Power Supply – AEDC

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has condemned poor power supply to its franchise states on the bad infrastructures it inherited when it came on board.

Head of operations and lines, Engineer Elisha Yakubu said this yesterday during a town hall meeting in Abuja.

According to him, when the company came on board, it had to operate with bad transformers and load shedding in the franchise states, hence, the obstacles to give customers outstanding service delivery.

Yakubu also noted the low power supply weathered in the first half of the year across the country.

However, he added that the predicament had improved as government is now delivering more power load to distribute to customers.

Furthermore, the head of business distribution, Joan Ugwunna, said it had undertaken a meter-on-wheels initiative to enable customers purchase meters instantly without waiting for a long time.
