CAN Appoints Daniel Okoh As New President

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has appointed most Rev. Daniel Okoh as their new president.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the association’s General Secretary, Mr. Joseph Daramola yesterday in Abuja.

The new president is the General Superintendent of Christ Holy Church, Also known as Nation Builders (Odozi-Obodo),

Nexus News gathered that CAN comprises of five blocs: Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria (CSN), Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN)/Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), TEKAN and ECWA Fellowship.

News Agency of Nigeria reports that CAN’s pre-assembly, symposium and NEC meeting will begin today.

The general assembly, sent-forth service and dinner will take place tomorrow, while the handing over ceremony and onset of the new administration will commence Friday.

The Guardian reports that CAN is slated to hold its general assembly to inaugurate the latest administration today.

Furthermore, this signifies the end of the  of Samson Olusupo Ayokunle’s term as well as members of the public national executive under his administration.

The outgoing CAN president expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and prayers.
