Fact-Check: Viral video of young girl confronting soldier in Ukraine crisis

Social media has yet again, labeled wrongfully video of a Palestinian girl challenging Israeli soldiers with Russia’s 2022 attack on Ukraine.

This comes amidst updates circulating on social media pertaining the recent outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine war

The video clip, which was shared with captions in English has gone viral, alleging that a Ukrainian girl was telling a Russian soldier to “go back to your country”.

Nexus News also debunked that the video of the girl is not connected to the Ukraine conflict. However, it is about 10 years old from the year 2012 and shows Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi confronting Israeli soldiers in the West Bank.
