FG applauds China’s role in improving Nigeria’s infrastructure
The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has applauded China for its efforts in enhancing infrastructure in Nigeria.
Femi Adesina, the Presidential spokesman said this on Friday at the State House when he hosted Ambassador Cui Jianchun and the new Deputy Chief of Mission/Ministerial Counselor, Zhang Yi.
Adesina noted that China has played a significant role in the administration’s effort to improve infrastructure in Nigeria.
He further applauded the Chinese government for sustained efforts to boost Nigeria’s infrastructure in power, rail, aviation, among others.
According to him: “President Buhari has very great respect for China. Many times he has spoken about the support from China and he deeply appreciates it. President Buhari and President Xi Jinping share respect and friendship.
Adesina noted that Nigeria recognizes the cooperation with the world power, expressing hope that the relations will continue to be strong and effective.
‘‘Nigeria appreciates the mutual cooperation with China and we pray that diplomatic relations will continue to be strong and mutually beneficial. President Buhari has visited China twice and also participated in the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) meeting in South Africa.”
