First Batch Of Ukrainian Evacuees To Touch Down Friday Morning

The first batch of Ukrainian evacuees from Bucharest, Romania, are anticipated to arrive Nigeria on Friday morning.
They are arriving aboard a Max Air flight which would land at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja in the early hours of Friday.
Nexus News gathered that the Max Air flight to vacate Nigerians taking refuge in Romania in the wake of the Russian-Ukrainian war touched down Bucharest, the Romanian capital, on Thursday evening.
The 747-400 wide-bodied aircraft arrived at Henri Coandă International Airport at 7:45 local time.
The aircraft is expected to evacuate 560 Nigerians to Abuja on Friday.
Furthermore, immediately the aircraft landed, the boarding formalities begun while the aircraft is on its way to Abuja.
The flight time from Bucharest to Abuja amounts to six hours, 30 minutes.
