Fuel Queues: NSCDC Men To Monitor Filling Stations
FCT Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced it has deployed officers and men of the corps to all the filling stations in the territory to help sustain order and lessen deterrent of commuters and motorists.
Spokesperson of the command, Okomanyi Comfort disclosed this in a statement yesterday. He said it was part of the statutory duties of the corps to assist in upholding peace and order in the society.
Following the deployment, the FCT’s Commandant of the corps, Dr Peter Maigari, alongside the Head of Anti-vandal Unit, Deputy Commandant of Corps Kehinde Oke and some armed personnel went round the territory to oversee the operation and scrutinize the activities in the stations.
Commandant Peter called on the officers present at each station to be civil and diligent as they execute orderliness.
