Groups Express Support For Al-Makura As APC Chairman
A political faction, Buharists Hang Out (BHO) has upheld a former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Tanko Al-Makura for the national chairmanship of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
As contained a statement on Monday in Abuja, the national coordinator of the group, Dr Uche Diala, said Al-Makura is the best man for the job.
“Getting such a leader calls for a meticulous and objective recruitment process, one which the BHO is glad to be part of,” the group said.
Also, a coalition of youth groups in Nasarawa State under the umbrella of the National Youth Council of Nigeria has expressed its consent for Al-Makura.
Speaking to journalists in Lafia, the chairman of NYCN, Mr Jaafar Loko, asserted that they were endorsing the former governor of the state owing to his developmental strides recorded as governor of the state from 2011 till 2019.
