PVC registration process was disrupted on Friday as thugs attacked St. Bridget Catholic Church in Ijesha, Surulere area of Lagos.
Legit.ng reports that INEC materials were cartered away in the process, including the registration machine.
Eyewitness say prior to the incident, the thugs argued that they would not allow the people to register because the people would not vote for their ‘candidate’.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were also stopped from registering people for the PVC.
An anonymous source divulged that police have been mobilised to the area to deter further breakdown of law and order.
The parish priest of the church reportedly closed down the church while people who want to register for their PVC darted for safety.
