Tight Security In FCT As Residents Fear Terrorists Attack

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba has ordered tight security in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This comes as residents of Abuja became anxious since the attack in Kuje Prison by Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) on July 5, 2022.
More that 800 inmates, including all the Boko Haram suspects in detention fled during the raid.
Nexus News gathered that there have been numerous leaked memos of intelligence agencies on the conspiracies to haunt Abuja.
However, the ambush of troops attached to the Presidential Guards Brigade intensified the worry of FCT residents.
The Force spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi in a statement on Tuesday said the IGP had called on the Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) to cooperate with residents so as to stave off foes.
”We are not leaving any stone unturned to fortify the Federal Capital Territory and its environs.
”The IGP has ordered for additional deployment of assets to Strategic areas of the FCT while the Force Intelligence Bureau has been charged on robust Intelligence gathering and information sharing amongst other agencies.
”All residents of the FCT are urged to synergise and be on the same page with the Police and other security agencies in making sure that we forestall any ugly incidences in and around the FCT,” the statement read.
News outlets had earlier reported how a captain and two soldiers were slain by terrorists in the Bwari area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Sunday night.
